Players & groups
Create players with handicap and home club, and organize them into groups.
Creating players
Players are the basis of every analysis. Each round belongs to one or more players, and all statistics are calculated per player.
When creating a player you enter:
- First name and last name
- Display name – freely chosen, shown in lists and analyses
- Handicap index – your current value; it feeds into the handicap calculations
- Home club and country (optional)
- Avatar – a personal image (optional)

The player detail also shows how many rounds a player has played. If you delete a player, a warning tells you if linked rounds would be affected.
Active and inactive
Players can be marked as active or inactive. Inactive players keep their data but no longer appear in the selection lists for new rounds. This keeps your choices tidy without losing any data.
Default player
One player is always marked as the default player. It is shown automatically in the single Analysis view. The first player you create becomes the default automatically; via "Set as default" you can switch it to another player at any time. The chosen avatar symbol syncs via iCloud. It also appears first in every player selection list — for example when creating a round or filtering the Analysis — marked with a ★.
Groups
Groups bring together players who regularly play together or whom you want to analyze together. Since version 1.2 a player can belong to several groups at the same time. You assign players either from the player (group selection in the player detail) or from the group (add or remove players).
Each group also becomes a comparison lens: via "Compare in Analysis" – directly in the group entry or in the group detail – you jump into the comparison mode of Analysis, which puts the players of the group side by side.
Tip: Create a group for your regular fourball. You'll find playing partners faster when recording and can pull up comparisons between them with a single tap.
