Manual
Your guide to NicerGolfJournal – from your very first entry to analyzing your game.
Welcome to the manual
NicerGolfJournal helps you record your golf game in a structured way and improve it with meaningful figures. The app runs natively on iPhone and Mac and syncs your data automatically via iCloud.
This manual is written especially for new users. It explains the order in which to start, what the terms hole set, layout and tee set mean, how to record rounds and how to read your statistics.
The fastest way to your first round
When you open the app for the first time, no data exists yet. Following this order gets you ready in a few minutes:
- Create a player – at least yourself, with your handicap index.
- Create a course and set it up with a hole set, layout and tee set – or import ready-made course data from this website.
- Record a round – choose course, layout and tee, then enter each hole.
- Analyze – Analysis shows you where you stand right away, in overview and categories.
The following chapters guide you through each of these steps.
